Dr. Philip E. Stieg

Dr. Mocco will lead a large team of neurosurgeons and other experts who specialize in diseases that affect the blood vessels in the brain, known as cerebrovascular disease; brain and spinal tumors; movement disorders; and other diseases of the brain, spine and nerves that branch out from the brain and spinal cord.

The Class of 2023 adds to Weill Cornell Medicine’s diverse community. Its students, nearly two-thirds of whom are bilingual, hail from 16 countries. Women comprise more than half the class, and 23 percent are from groups that are underrepresented in medicine.
