Dr. Sheila Nirenberg, the Nanette Laitman Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience and a professor of physiology and biophysics at Weill Cornell Medicine, has received the Barbara McClintock Women Innovator Award at the Inaugural Women Innovator Awards.

As the newly appointed senior managing director with the Center for Technology Licensing (CTL) at Cornell University, Dr. Lisa Placanica will lead technology licensing efforts at Weill Cornell Medicine.

The second annual Dean’s Symposium on Opportunities for Entrepreneurship and Academic Drug Development highlighted the resources available to Weill Cornell Medicine investigators to help them turn their research findings into new treatments and therapies for patients.
