Dr. Robert Peck

Two Weill Cornell Medicine physician-scientists, Dr. Hooman Kamel and Dr. Robert Peck, have been elected members of the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI) for 2026.  

Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine have shown that three months of social worker follow-up support to people hospitalized with HIV in Tanzania had health benefits at low cost.

Weill Cornell Medicine has awarded eight grants of $100,000 each to faculty for a variety of research projects on COVID-19, funded by the institution’s Board of Overseers and additional donors. The grants will support studies aimed at understanding fundamental aspects of the disease, the body’s immune response and social determinants of health that affect COVID-19 outcomes. 

Dr. Robert Peck, an assistant professor of medicine and of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine, has been awarded the 2019 Dr. Nathan Davis International Award in Medicine by the American Medical Association Foundation.
