In the Archives, where he did much of his research on Dr. Lewis Atterbury Conner, is Dr. Jeffrey Fisher (seated), with James Gehrlich, archives assistant.
Dr. Jeffrey Fisher, clinical associate professor of medicine, will discuss "Lewis A. Conner: Cornell's Osler," at the combined Dean's Hour/Heberden Society Lecture on Wednesday, April 11, at 5 p.m. in Weill Auditorium. Established in 1975, the Heberden Society hosts an annual lecture series at Weill Cornell focusing on the history of medicine. "Dr. Lewis Atterbury Conner (1867–1950) was among the founding faculty of Cornell University Medical College, when the school was established in 1898," said Dr. Fisher. A clinician, pathologist and pioneering public health cardiologist, Dr. Conner was instrumental in the founding of the New York and American Heart Associations. All are welcome to attend the lecture.
