Weill Cornell starts its 2002-2003 Humanities and Medicine Series with "A Conversation with Bob Kerrey" on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The former U.S. senator, who is currently president of the New School University in New York City, will discuss his life growing up in post-war America; his experiences in the Vietnam War, where his valor earned him the Congressional Medal of Honor; and his 17-year career in politics. Sen. Kerrey has written eloquently about his Vietnam War experiences in his recently published memoir "When I Was a Young Man." As the guest of the Humanities and Medicine Program, Sen. Kerrey will talk about his life and times and the current political landscape in America.
