Medical experts from the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center provided the latest information on women's health issues at a press luncheon held June 4 in the Griffis Faculty Club.
Dr. Orli Etingin, the Lisa and Sanford B. Ehrenkranz Professor in Women's Health and director of the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center, joined Iris Cantor and Dr. Herbert Pardes, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, for the two-hour event, titled "What Women Want—Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies: Exploring the Connection and Taking Charge."
Presentations were given by Dr. Erica Jones, assistant professor of cardiovascular and internal medicine, on preventive cardiovascular testing; Dr. Shaun Biggers, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology, on ways to manage perimenopause; Dr. Ellen Scherl, assistant professor of gastroenterology and internal medicine, on colon cancer in women; and Dr. Barbara Bartlik, assistant professor of psychiatry in obstetrics and gynecology, on stress and sexual health.
