Weill Medical College joins NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the American Museum of Natural History as co-sponsors of the third annual lecture series on Revolutionizing Medicine in the 21st Century. This series of lectures will focus on how modern medicine is expanding our understanding of a variety of infectious diseases.
Remaining lectures are scheduled for May 14 and 21 (both on Tuesday) and will be held at The Rockefeller University, 1230 York Ave. (at 66th St.), Caspary Auditorium, 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Dr. Barry Hartman, clinical professor of medicine at Weill Cornell and attending physician at NewYork Weill Cornell Medical Center, will present a lecture on "In Our Own Backyard: Infectious Diseases of New York State" on May 14.
The final lecture in the series will be presented by Nobel laureate Dr. Joshua Lederberg, professor emeritus of molecular genetics and informatics at The Rockefeller University, who will speak about "The Microbiome: Germs as Genes" on May 21.
