
New graduate students at orientation.
Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University welcomed 38 students for the new academic year. Orientation activities, which began on Aug. 18, included a reception; a walking tour of Weill Cornell, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and The Rockefeller University; a formal welcoming program in Weill Auditorium; a cruise around Manhattan; a Yankees baseball game; and a softball game in Central Park.
Welcoming the students at the formal program on Aug. 20 were Dr. David Hajjar, dean of the Graduate School; Dr. Joel Pardee, associate dean; and Dr. Jerard Hurwitz, director of graduate studies at the Sloan-Kettering Division.
