Dr. Bruce Ballard, associate dean for student affairs and associate professor of clinical psychiatry, has been selected as a recipient of the 11th annual Nancy C. A. Roeske, M.D., Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Medical Student Education. The award is given by the American Psychiatric Association in honor of Dr. Roeske, a 1954 graduate of Cornell University Medical College, as a tribute to her unique and creative contributions to psychiatric education. The award recognizes Dr. Ballard's long and outstanding contributions to psychiatric education at Weill Cornell. The award will be presented at the APA's annual meeting in May in New Orleans.
Dr. Anne Moore, professor of clinical medicine, will receive the Special Recognition Award from the Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert (JALBCA) at its annual dinner at the Water's Edge, Queens, on May 7. The award recognizes Dr. Moore's "exceptional work at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in the field of breast oncology."
