Dr. Ethel Siris, an authority on osteoporosis who is the Madeline C. Stabile Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons, will be the guest of Weill Cornell's Department of Medicine as the Lila A. Wallis Visiting Professor in Women's Health, March 28–29. Dr. Siris is director of the Toni Stabile Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis at Columbia Presbyterian. She will give the Wallis Visiting Professor Lecture at Medical Grand Rounds at Weill Cornell on Thursday, March 29 (11 a.m. in Uris Auditorium). Her topic will be "New Modalities in Diagnosis and Treatment of Osteoporosis: What Is on the Horizon."
The Lila A. Wallis Visiting Professorship in Women's Health at Weill Cornell was established in 1987 to focus attention on women's health issues. The fund is made possible by patients and friends of Dr. Wallis, clinical professor of medicine at Weill Cornell, who has been a national leader for more than 20 years in bringing women's health issues to the forefront of medical education, research and treatment.
