The Medical College hosted its annual "Family Day" on May 4, welcoming medical students' parents, brothers, sisters and significant others for an afternoon of special activities. The program included welcoming remarks by alumnus Gary Weine, '76, whose son Douglas is a member of the class of 2004; presentations by Dean Antonio Gotto and Dr. Bruce Ballard, associate dean for student affairs and equal opportunity programs; a student panel discussion; and family participation in interactive simulations of problem-based learning led by medical students in the teaching labs. Families also enjoyed a buffet luncheon preceding the program and a reception afterward. "Family Day" is organized by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Student Affairs.
