Dr. Frank Chervenak, acting chairman of ob-gyn, who not only received the prestigious Sir William Liley Medal from the International Society of the Fetus in honor of his pioneering the first successful intrauterine transfusion for Rh disease, but, as president of the Society, gained a private audience with Pope John Paul II.
