The Riverwalk Place Condominium will appeal to Weill Cornell faculty with its stunning waterfront location and proximity to the campus.

In a traditional "topping out" ceremony on March 9, the top floor was poured into place and the last beam was laid on the framework of Riverwalk Place Condominium, the newest residence for Weill Cornell faculty on Roosevelt Island. Representatives from Weill Cornell housing and facilities management joined builders and developers to mark this milestone.

Weill Cornell has purchased four floors of the 16-story condo for faculty, postdoctoral trainees, and their families. The building is adjacent to Southtown, another residence for faculty that opened in November 2003. Riverwalk will share its neighbor's stunning waterfront location and impressive range of amenities. The building is scheduled to open in 2006.

Roosevelt Island, just across the East River, is a charming enclave that's a brief subway or aerial tram ride away from the Weill Cornell campus.
