Kudos to the following faculty for their recent awards and honors: Dr. Michael Posner, founding director of the Sackler Institute for Developmental Psychobiology, who, with his colleagues Marcus Raichle and Steve Petersen of Washington University in St. Louis, shared the first 2001 University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award for Psychology for their pioneering work in the field of cognitive neuroscience. Dr. David B. Skinner, professor of surgery and cardiothoracic surgery and president emeritus of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, who has been made an honorary fellow of the Japanese Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery. At their 53rd Annual Meeting, he delivered a lecture on the "Current Status of Esophageal Surgery."
