Dr. Priyanka Gaur, fellow of maternal fetal medicine in obstetrics and gynecology, was elected as the District II junior fellow vice chair for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for a term of three years. As vice chair, Dr. Gaur will partner with other distinguished ACOG leaders to continue innovating women’s health care.
Dr. Michelle Ramos, third-year gastrointestinal fellow, received the NASPGHAN Child Nutrition and Health Equity White House Challenge Award. Recipients are selected based on their innovative, bold ideas for community-based interventions to improve nutrition-related child health equity. Dr. Ramos received the award for her work on The Middle School Outreach by NASPGHAN to promote nutrition education and pediatric gastroenterology.
Dr. Matthew Robbins, associate professor of neurology, was elected president of the New York State Neurological Society. Representing over 2,000 physicians practicing neurology across New York, the society creates a community for neurologists, neurologists in training and allied professionals through educational programs and career planning to promote the highest quality of care for patients.
Dr. Greta Strong, assistant professor of community outreach teaching in neurology, was an honoree at the 2024 Metropolitan College of New York Power of Purpose Social Impact Awards. The award recognizes individuals who embody the essence of purpose and service.
