Dr. Manuel Hidalgo, chief of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology and the Walter B. Wriston Professor of Pancreatic Cancer Research, was elected to the board of directors by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). The AACR is the first and largest cancer research organization dedicated to accelerating the conquest of cancer, and its board consists of world-renowned leaders in all areas of cancer research.

Dr. Conor Liston, professor of psychiatry and of neuroscience in the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute, won the Eva King Killam Research Award from the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP). The award is presented annually to an individual on the basis of outstanding translational research contributions to neuropsychopharmacology.

Dr. Claire Otero, postdoctoral associate in pediatrics, won a Michelson Prize: Next Generation Grant from the Michelson Medical Research Foundation and the Human Immunome Project. The research grants are awarded annually to support early-career scientists advancing human immunology, vaccine discovery and immunotherapy research for major global diseases.
