Dr. Jason Edwards, assistant professor of clinical rehabilitation medicine, was named medical honoree by the Brain Injury Association of New York State at the organization’s annual March On for Brain Injury Walk on Sept. 9. The association is a statewide nonprofit membership organization that advocates on behalf of people with brain injuries and their families.
Dr. Gary Koretzky, professor of medicine, received ACR master’s designation from the American College of Rheumatology. One of the college’s highest honors, the designation is conferred on members, aged 65 or older, who have made outstanding contributions to the ACR and the field of rheumatology through scholarly achievement and service to their patients, students and profession.
Dr. Jyotishman Pathak, chief of the Division of Health Informatics and the Frances and John L. Loeb Professor of Medical Informatics, was invited to join the National Institute of Mental Health’s National Advisory Mental Health Council (NAMHC), at the request of the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. Dr. Pathak will serve a three-year term.
