Dr. Karla Ballman, chief of the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, was in March appointed associate statistical editor of the American Thoracic Society's American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. The journal focuses on human biology and disease, as well as animal studies that contribute to the understanding of pathophysiology and treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory system and critically ill patients.
Dr. Ekta Khurana, an assistant professor of computational genomics and of physiology and biophysics, was in March invited to join the journal Current Protocols in Bioinformatics' Editorial Board. The journal is published quarterly and seeks to provide the clearest, most detailed and reliable step-by-step instructions for all protocols relevant to a given subject area.
