Scientists at Weill Cornell Medicine believe immunotherapy could be the best game plan to defeat cancer.
During the Super Bowl on Feb. 7, NewYork-Presbyterian aired a striking ad illustrating how therapies developed by Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University are using the "soldiers" of our bodies' own defense system — white blood cells known as T-cells — to successfully treat melanoma, lung, kidney and colon cancers. Scientists at the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center are at the vanguard of this work, investigating innovative ways to use immunotherapy to win the fight against cancer.
