Jeffrey Russ, a second-year MD-PhD student, and student overseer on the Weill Cornell Medical College Board of Overseers, has joined with other Weill Cornell students to start the Student Green Initiative, which focuses on minimizing waste and implementing environmentally friendly policies wherever possible. Started in February 2009, the Student Green Initiative began by creating small teams and assigning them specific projects. "Small teams stay focused and take responsibility for seeing each project through to success," Russ said. To keep up with the latest news, visit the Student Green Initiative Web site.
