Dr. Robert Min Appointed Acting Chairman of Radiology

Dr. Robert Min

Dr. Robert Min, director of Cornell Vascular and associate professor of radiology, has been appointed acting chairman of radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and acting radiologist-in-chief at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. 


Dr. Min is a pioneer in the development of minimally invasive techniques to treat varicose veins, including transcatheter duplex-guided sclerotherapy. At Cornell Vascular, he and his colleagues diagnose and treat various vascular diseases, specializing in the treatment of venous disorders and uterine fibroids.

Dr. Min has written a number of peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, and is frequently invited to present lectures, on venous disorders and endoveinous laser therapy, a technique he developed for the treatment of varicose veins. He is a member of the board of directors at the American College of Phlebology, the largest phlebology society in the United States dedicated to researching and teaching varicose vein disease diagnosis and treatment. He is also a member of numerous radiological societies, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, and is a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Min graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College in 1990 and received his M.B.A. from Columbia University in 2002.
