Adee Shepen has been named the new director of alumni relations and giving at Weill Cornell Medical College, responsible for coordinating all communications and fundraising activities for alumni of the Medical College and Graduate School, including the Center Alumni Council - a collegial association of alumni, faculty and administration.
Shepen, who joined Weill Cornell in January, was previously director of development and external affairs at The Calhoun School - a college preparatory school on the Upper West Side. There, she implemented a capital campaign of $18 million, as well as a $750,000 annual fund. Shepen has also held development positions at NYU Medical Center, the American Jewish Committee, and the Jewish National Fund.
"I fully expect Adee's broad experience and skills in development and communications to help foster an environment welcoming to and supportive of alumni and family at Weill Cornell," said Larry Schafer, vice provost of development.
