Students presented their research during Weill Cornell Medical College Student Research Day on December 8 to a receptive audience of faculty, peers and staff. The annual event, now in its third year, highlights student accomplishments in laboratory, clinical, and field research, many of which were conducted through labs and departments in the tri-institutional community of Weill Cornell, The Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

Oral presentations by several students ranged from teachers' awareness of learning and behavioral disorders of children in India to results of endovascular treatment in patients with advanced vascular disease of the limbs. At a poster-display session in Archbold Commons, students demonstrated their work to faculty and other students. Many students also submitted abstracts of their research for the Student Research Day Journal.

"Student Research Day is a valuable forum through which students can present their research efforts and accomplishments to both their faculty and peers," said Ariella Hochsztein, '08, who helped organize the event. "It was exciting to yet again realize what a talented and diverse group of students I am surrounded by on a daily basis."
