
The second installment of the Spring 2004 Health and Wellness Seminar Series took place May 11 in Uris Auditorium. The lecture, "Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: Method and Medicine," was given by Dr. Susan Evans (far left), associate professor of clinical psychiatry and director of the Psychology Training Program, and Dr. Margaret Altemus, associate professor of psychiatry. Dr. Jack Barchas, professor and chairman of the Department of Psychiatry, moderated the event.
The Office of Public Affairs announces its spring 2004 community outreach Health and Wellness Seminar Series, now in its tenth year. Dates and topics for the remaining two series are listed below. Seminars are free and open to the public. Each seminar is held on a Tuesday evening in May, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Uris Auditorium (1300 York Ave. at 69th St.), and includes a moderated "Q & A" session.
