Dr. Clive Svendsen to Present Stubenbord Visiting Lecture (April 23)

Dr. Clive Svendsen

Dr. Clive Svendsen, director of the Stem Cell Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Waisman Center, will be the guest of Weill Cornell's Department of Neurology and Neuroscience as the William D. Stubenbord Visiting Professor.

Dr. Svendsen, who is also professor of anatomy and neurology, will present the lecture "Combining Stem Cell and Gene Therapy for ALS and Parkinson's Disease" in A-950 Auditorium, on Friday, April 23 at 2 p.m.

The William D. Stubenbord Visiting Professorships were established in 1968 by a gift from the Louis Calder Foundation in memory of Louis Calder Sr. and Louis Calder Jr. and in recognition of the outstanding professional service and long friendship Dr. William D. Stubenbord (Class of 1931) had for them and members of their families. The departments in the College are, in rotation, host to visiting scholars.
