An unprecedented star-studded staging of the classic musical "Guys and Dolls" was held Feb. 23 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, to benefit the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell. The event raised funds to help the Center continue its mission of delivering the best possible health care to New Yorkers in a modern, patient-centered environment.
Produced by Tony- and Emmy-winning Broadway producer Cyma Rubin, "An Evening of Music from Guys and Dolls"—based on the Broadway musical fable "Guys and Dolls"—featured performances from Oscar, Tony and Emmy winners as well as some of Broadway's most talented singers and dancers. Attendees included Iris Cantor, Hospital Board of Trustees member and chair of the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Foundation; Dr. Antonio Gotto, dean of the Medical College, and his wife, Anita; and Dr. Herbert Pardes, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
