Jeanie Huang Appointed Manager of Immigration

Weill Cornell's Department of Human Resources has announced the appointment of Jeanie Huang as manager of immigration.

Ms. Huang will be responsible for administering the J-1 Exchange Visitors Program for research scholars and the H-1B visa status program for academic staff in order to ensure appropriate, legal and timely documentation and records to support the research and teaching efforts of the Medical College.

Ms. Huang has extensive immigration experience from her work as both a freelance immigration consultant and a paralegal for two international law firms (Dechert, Price and Rhoads, and Fragomen, DelRay, Bernsen and Loewy PC). In these positions, her work included assisting foreign nationals in obtaining and maintaining a wide variety of U.S. nonimmigrant/immigrant visa status, as well as working with university departments, corporate human-resource personnel, the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly Immigration and Naturalization Service), the Department of State, and other governmental entities.

Ms. Huang received her master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania and her undergraduate degree at the National Central University in Taiwan.
