"The Cornell Illustrated Encyclopedia of Health: The Definitive Home Medical Reference"

"The Cornell Illustrated Encyclopedia of Health: The Definitive Home Medical Reference" has just been published by LifeLine Press and is now available at major bookstores and online. The Encyclopedia was produced by The Reference Works Inc.—with Weill Medical College Dean Dr. Antonio Gotto as general editor and 39 Weill Cornell faculty reviewers serving on the editorial advisory board.

The Encyclopedia is a one-volume, 1,300-page A-to-Z medical reference for the general reader covering 3,600 health topics, from anthrax to zinc deficiency, with more than 1,200 full-color illustrations (list price: $45.00). It is available at the Weill Cornell Bookstore on 70th Street at a discounted price of $38.25.

"The Cornell Illustrated Encyclopedia of Health is the culmination of a project that I started shortly after arriving at Cornell," said Dean Gotto, who recently completed his first five-year term as dean. "It is the first of a series of health-related books for the consumer that will be published in association with the Medical College. I want to especially thank all of the members of the Editorial Advisory Board who volunteered their time as reviewers for the Encyclopedia."
