Weill Cornell was well-represented at the 43rd annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) held in Orlando, Fla., Dec. 7–11.
Dr. Roy Silverstein, Dr. Leif Bergsagel, Dr. John Leonard and Dr. James Bussel were special invited speakers who gave educational presentations on grant writing, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma and platelets, respectively.
Other presenters included Dr. Kathleen Hajjar, a member of ASH's Scientific Committee on Thrombosis and Vascular Biology; Dr. Patricia Giardina; Dr. Aaron Marcus; Dr. Richard Silver; Dr. Morton Coleman; Dr. David Lyden; Dr. Elaine Schattner; Dr. Ronit Simantov; and Dr. Asher Winder.
Many more co-authored accepted papers and posters but did not present. Media coverage included local Orlando, Orange County and Florida print outlets.
