Opening Exercises for Weill Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m. in Uris Auditorium. Cornell University President Hunter Rawlings and Dr. Antonio Gotto, vice provost for medical affairs and dean of the Medical College, will welcome the new medical and graduate students. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Alvin Mushlin, chairman of the Department of Public Health.
The Medical College's White Coat Ceremony, for the members of the first-year class, will begin at 2 p.m. (preceding the Opening Exercises) in Uris Auditorium. Dr. Kathleen Foley, professor of neurology and neuroscience and professor of pharmacology, will be the keynote speaker.
