The Human Resources Department has announced the appointments of Thomas Blair as manager of employee relations and Jane Hopkins as manager of compensation.

As manager of employee relations, Mr. Blair will work closely with employees at all levels to resolve problems, provide guidance and counseling, and resolve grievances. He will also help develop programs and policies that enhance the Medical College's working environment. His office is in Olin Hall (room 210).
Mr. Blair previously held the position of director of Human Resources and Legal Affairs at the Ferguson Library in Stamford, Connecticut. A licensed attorney, he has also practiced law with Gould, Killian & Wynne in Hartford, and O'Connor, McGuinness, Conte, Doyle, Oleson & Collins in White Plains.
In addition to his law degree from George Washington University, he holds an MBA degree from Yale University School of Management.

As manager of compensation, Ms. Hopkins will be responsible for managing all non-academic compensation matters for Weill Cornell staff.
Ms. Hopkins comes to the Medical College from Mount Sinai/NYU Medical Centers, where she most recently held the position of senior compensation specialist. Previously, she held human-resources positions at the Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J. and at TIAA-CREF.
Ms. Hopkins is a Certified Compensation Professional (American Compensation Association). She holds an M.B.A. degree from N.Y.U. and a bachelor's degree from Douglass College. Her office is in Olin Hall (room 224).
