At a luncheon held on April 10, Lisa and Sanford Ehrenkranz were honored for their generous pledge to endow a new professorship to be called the Lisa and Sanford B. Ehrenkranz Professorship in Women's Health.
In attendance were Dr. Antonio Gotto, dean of Weill Medical College; Harold Tanner, chairman of Cornell University's Board of Trustees; Kevin Brine, a member of Weill Cornell's Board of Overseers; Dr. Ralph Nachman, chairman of the Department of Medicine; Dr. Orli Etingin, director of Weill Cornell's Iris Cantor Women's Health Center; members of the Ehrenkranz family; and Weill Cornell faculty.
Dr. Gotto spoke of the longstanding commitment of the Ehrenkranz family to the Medical College and thanked them for their generosity, saying: "Both Sandy and Lisa Ehrenkranz have donated an immeasurable amount of time and energy to the Medical College; it is only fitting that their name be associated with Weill Cornell Medical College in perpetuity."
A member of Weill Cornell's Board of Overseers, Sanford Ehrenkranz serves on the Development, Business and Finance, Affiliations, Government Relations and Community Affairs, and Ad Hoc Planning committees. He is also a founding member of Weill Medical College's Departmental Associates Program.
