Continuing a series of regional alumni gatherings, Dean Antonio Gotto hosted a reception for Boston-area alumni and friends on April 17 at a prominent private club on Beacon Hill. Paul Miskovitz, '75, president of the Cornell University Weill Medical College Alumni Association, and Lew Drusin, '64, executive chair of the alumni leadership and outreach committee, both members of the Weill Cornell faculty, assisted in hosting the event. Sponsoring the event at the club was alumnus and former Cornell dean J. Robert Buchanan, '54.
Speaking to more than 90 alumni, parents of current students, and friends of the Medical College, Dr. Gotto presented an update on Weill Cornell, which included a detailed discussion of the soon-to-be-established Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.
"Our out-of-town outreach program has made significant strides in reacquainting our alumni with the Medical College," said Sherry Friedman, director of alumni relations and giving. The Alumni Association is currently planning another regional event in the fall for alumni and friends in the Washington, D.C., area.
