Bruce Toman has been appointed administrator of the Office of Technology Development. Mr. Toman, who joined the office last year in a temporary position, will manage all office operations and serve as the primary gateway for internal and external communications in support of the invention disclosure, patent prosecution, and commercialization activities of the office. His responsibilities include managing all incoming inquiries from faculty, administration, and industry representatives, and supporting marketing and licensing by preparing economic analyses and other written materials. Mr. Toman previously worked in the social services and the restaurant business. He has a bachelor's degree in medieval history from the University of Chicago and a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
