Dr. Glenn Steele Jr., the David S. Speer Lecturer at Weill Cornell
Dr. Glenn Steele Jr., president and CEO of Geisinger Health System, will be the guest of the Department of Surgery as the David S. Speer Lecturer at Surgical Grand Rounds on Thursday, March 22 (5 p.m. in Uris Auditorium). He will address the question "Is Breast Cancer an Appropriate Paradigm in Designing New Approaches to the Treatment of Rectal Cancer?"
The David S. Speer Lectureship in the Department of Surgery was established in 1989 in memory of Dr. Speer, who gave 43 years of devoted service to the department. Dr. Speer served as chairman of the infection committee, the tissue committee, and the emergency room committee.
