The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery has opened a new Foot Center located in the Starr Pavilion (Starr 2) adjacent to the department's Orthopaedic Trauma and Fracture Service. "The Foot Center will serve patients who have elective foot and ankle needs," said podiatrist Dr. Rock Positano, co-director of the Foot Center with orthopaedic surgeon Dr. David Levine.
Dr. Positano has been a member of the staff of the Hospital for Special Surgery and NewYork Weill Cornell Medical Center since 1992 and is currently adjunct clinical assistant professor of podiatry in medicine.
Dr. Levine, who is assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery, received his medical degree from Cornell in 1992. After residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, he completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash.
