Dr. Drusin to Receive C.U.'s Frank H.T. Rhodes Exemplary Alumni Service Award

Dr. Lewis Drusin

Dr. Lewis Drusin, professor of clinical public health and professor of clinical medicine, and an exceptionally active and loyal alumnus of the Medical College (Class of 1964), is one of six winners of Cornell University's 2001 Frank H.T. Rhodes Exemplary Alumni Service Award. The award is given by the Cornell Alumni Federation in recognition of "extraordinary" service to Cornell "in both length and quality of contribution." The awards will be presented at a special ceremony held at Cornell University in Ithaca on Oct. 12. 


A past president of the Medical College's Alumni Association (1990–1992), Dr. Drusin has also served as a member of the Board of Directors and as secretary, treasurer, and vice president. Currently, he is executive chair of the Association's Alumni Leadership and Outreach Committee. Dr. Drusin has also served on many Medical College committees, including Admissions, Internship Advisory, Medical College Fund (chairman, 1986–2000), Financial Aid (current chairman), and Centennial Planning. For many years, he has also served as head of the Medical Center's Department of Epidemiology.
