The Office of Public Affairs will host a special science breakfast on cancer for local and national media on Tuesday, May 16, at 9 a.m., in the Hospital Board Room (Whitney 117). The breakfast is designed especially for health and science writers and reporters who want to know what the latest advances and future directions are in cancer research, treatment and prevention at Weill Cornell. Dean Gotto and Dean Staiano-Coico will introduce the proceedings. Among the Weill Cornell faculty presenting are Dr. Lorraine Gudas, Dr. John Daly, Dr. Roy Silverstein, Dr. Claudia Henschke and Dr. Andrew Dannenberg. Public Affairs hopes to hold four of these breakfasts annually, focusing on the significant research being conducted by basic science and clinical faculty at Weill Cornell.
