Dr. Joseph Fins, chief of the Division of Medical Ethics, the E. William Davis Jr., MD Professor of Medical Ethics, professor of medicine, public health and medicine in psychiatry, gave the Samuel Cheng Lecture at the University of Louisville School of Medicine on Sept 17. His talk was entitled, "Rights Come to Mind: Brain Injury, Ethics and the Struggle for Consciousness." He gave a similar presentation on Oct 10 at the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick.

Dr. Janna Gordon-Elliott, assistant professor of psychiatry, and Dr. Justin Mohatt, assistant professor of psychiatry, were both appointed to Weill Cornell's 2013-2014 Leadership in Academic Medicine Program, a longitudinal faculty development program to facilitate success in academic medicine. Participation in the program requires a commitment of attending eight monthly session from October 2013-May 2014.
