Dr. Tara F. Bishop, the Nanette Laitman Clinical Scholar in Public Health - Clinical Evaluation, an assistant professor of healthcare policy and research and assistant professor of medicine, has been selected for the third class of the Weill Cornell Leadership Fellows program, which seeks to identify and foster the development of Weill Cornell's "Leaders of Tomorrow," who will help the medical center develop innovative solutions to efficient, patient-centered and cost-effective health care delivery. The program began on July 1.
Dr. Brian Bosworth, the Anne and Ken Estabrook Clinical Scholar in Gastroenterology and associate professor of medicine (education), was named president of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in May. The society is comprised of more than 300 attending members and more than 200 fellows, and is the largest regional endoscopic society in the United States.
Dr. Yu Moriguchi, a spine research fellow on Dr. Roger Härtl's team, won a research presentation award during the 12th annual AOSpine North America Fellows Forum hosted on April 11 in Banff Springs, Canada. Dr. Moriguchi's presentation, which is part of the spine research team's work with innovative approaches to intervertebral disc repair, was titled "In Vivo Repair of Rat Annulus Fibrosus Defects Using High-Density Collagen Gels."
