Dr. Erika Abramson, an assistant professor of pediatrics and of healthcare policy and research, was elected vice chair of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors' Research and Scholarship Task Force, effective June 30. The association serves pediatric programs by leading the advancement of education to ensure the health and well-being of children. The task force is charged with understanding and informing association leadership how research and scholarship can be supported for all members by the organization.
Dr. Richard Granstein, chairman of dermatology and the George W. Hambrick, Jr. Professor of Dermatology, was elected to a one-year term on the Association of Professors of Dermatology's Board of Directors. The association is dedicated to promoting medical education, research, and patient care, particularly in undergraduate and graduate dermatology training programs.
Dr. Jonathan Victor, the Fred Plum Professor of Neurology, a professor of neurology and a professor of neuroscience in the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute, was appointed to the Journal of Vision editorial board. The journal is an online, free-access, peer-reviewed publication devoted to all aspects of visual function in humans and other organisms.
