Dr. Jack D. Barchas, chairman of the Department of Psychiatry, the Barklie McKee Henry Professor of Psychiatry, and a professor of pscyhiatry, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry during the American Psychiatric Association meeting on May 18 in Toronto.

Dr. William A. Frosch, a DeWitt Wallace Senior Scholar and professor emeritus of Psychiatry, received New York University School of Medicine's Solomon A. Berson Medical Alumni Achievement Award. The annual award is given to a graduate of the NYU School of Medicine who has achieved major accomplishments in advancing healthcare. Dr. Frosch received the award at NYU's Medical Alumni Day on April 25.

Dr. David Madoff, a professor of radiology, was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Radiology on May 17. Fellows must demonstrate a history of service to the college, organized radiology, teaching or research. Only 12 percent of the organization's members are chosen as fellows, which is considered one the highest honors bestowed by the leadership.

Dr. Morgan Spaight, a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellow, was recognized in June as NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center's Employee of the Month.
