Dr. Jared Knopman, an assistant professor of neurological surgery and of neurological surgery in radiology, received the Leonard and Fleur Harlan Clinical Scholar Award from Weill Cornell on Oct. 1. The award, made possible by a gift from Weill Cornell benefactors Fleur and Leonard Harlan, who is a member of the Board of Overseers, supports an outstanding junior faculty member at the medical college.
Dr. Herbert Pardes, a professor of psychiatry, received the inaugural Pardes Humanitarian Prize from the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation on Oct. 27 during an awards dinner in New York City. The award honors individuals who have had a powerful impact on many aspects of mental health.
Dr. Sujit Sheth, a professor of clinical pediatrics, was awarded the DeWitt Clinton Award by the New York Masons during an event on Dec. 1. The DeWitt Clinton Award recognizes outstanding public and community service by a non-Masonic organization or individual whose actions exemplify a shared concern for the well-being of mankind.
