Dr. Costantino Iadecola, director of the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute, the Anne Parrish Titzell Professor of Neurology and a professor of neuroscience, delivered the Malcolm Feist Lecture on Translational Research in Cardiovascular Diseases in early spring at the University of Louisiana. His lecture was titled "Neurovascular Pathways to Cognitive Dysfunction."
Ranjodh Singh, a third-year medical student, has been awarded the 2014 Paul Calabresi Medical Student Research Fellowship from the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Foundation. The fellowship is awarded to medical students pursuing a career in pharmacology research or clinical pharmacology.
Dr. Roger Yurt, the Johnson & Johnson Distinguished Professor of Surgery and a Professor of Surgery, received the 2014 Maurice R. Greenberg Distinguished Service Award from NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Yurt, who is director of the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, was recognized for his many years of dedicated service to the medical center and to the patients it serves.
