Awards and Honors

Dr. Frank Chervenak was selected as an honorary member of the International Academy of Reproduction. Members are elected based on their singular and significant contributions to the fields of clinical medicine and medical education and must be acknowledged as world leaders in their discipline. The academy is a nonprofit based in Switzerland geared toward extending knowledge relating to all aspects of human reproduction, fertility and infertility, family planning and population affairs.

Dr. William Reisacher was an invited lecturer for the Continuous Education and Scientific Research Association. The association is a nonprofit organization based in Turkey that aims to support education and scientific research, particularly in ears, nose and throat-related fields. On Feb. 24, Dr. Reisacher gave three lectures in New York City for the organization titled "Local Allergy," "Update on Sublingual Immunotherapy," and "Asthma and the Otolaryngologist."

Dr. Patricia Yarberry-Allen received the American Medical Women's Association Presidential Award on March 15. The award is given each year at the association's annual meeting in the name of a female physician who has excelled and contributed significantly to women's health. The award is given to an individual for her lifetime commitment and passion for the advancement of women's health, education and mentorship of students. The association is a collection of women physicians, medical students and other persons dedicated to serving as the unique voice for women's health and the advancement of women in medicine.
