Dr. Samuel H. Selesnick, professor of otolaryngology, professor of otolaryngology in neurology and professor of otolaryngology in neurological surgery, was named "Visiting American Doctor in Residence" at the American Hospital of Paris. The hospital is a nonprofit organization created in 1906 to provide American expatriates residing in France with American-trained medical care in their own language, regardless of their financial means.
Dr. Michael G. Stewart, vice dean, chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, professor of otolaryngology and professor of healthcare policy and research, delivered a keynote address at the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery's 64th annual scientific meeting, hosted March 29 - April 1 in Brisbane Australia. The society is the representative organization for ear, nose and throat head and neck surgeons in Australia and provides a nationwide training program for future surgeons as well as offering continuing professional development opportunities for members.
Dr. Karen Lin Su, clinical associate professor of pediatrics, received the Pioneer Award from the CARES Foundation. The foundation leads the effort to improve the lives of the Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia community and seeks to advance quality health care through support, advocacy, education and research. The award was presented on March 28 at the annual Everyone CARES Gala.
