Dr. Tara Bishop, the Nanette Laitman Clinical Scholar in Public Health - Clinical Evaluation, assistant professor of medicine and assistant professor of public health, was invited by New York State Department of Health Commissioner Nirav R. Shah to participate as a member of the state Department of Health's Quality and Patient Safety External Advisory Committee. This committee is being convened to work with the department, across all settings of care, on a wide array of quality and patient safety topics, ranging from a State Innovation Model planning grant to Medicaid initiatives, to lower costs and improve outcomes, to obstetrical patient safety and hospital report cards.

Dr. Christopher Mason, assistant professor of physiology and biophysics and an assistant professor of computational genomics in computation biomedicine at the HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Institute for Computational Biomedicine, joined the editorial board of the International Journal of Drug Discovery. The journal publishes the latest and outstanding research articles, reviews and letters in all areas of modern drug discovery by the pharmaceutical industry, current drug discovery technologies, rational drug design and discovery including medicinal chemistry, in-silico drug design, combinatorial chemistry, high-throughput screening, drug targets and structure-activity relationships.

Dr. Juan Miguel Mosquera, assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine, was appointed to the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine's Editorial Board and as editor of the journal's precision medicine section. The journal is the most highly read periodical title among U.S. practicing pathologists and is published monthly by the College of American Pathologists.
