NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains Hosts 11th Annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks
Estimated 15,000 Will Walk Two Miles to Support Cause
WHAT:
Autism Speaks, North America's largest autism science and advocacy organizations 11th annual Westchester/Fairfield Walk Now for Autism Speaks fundraising and awareness event will take place at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Westchester Division in White Plains, N.Y. All event proceeds will support Autism Speaks' work to increase awareness about the growing autism epidemic, fund innovative autism research and family services, and advocate for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
The event is being held on the property where the forthcoming Center for Autism and the Developing Brain is being built. The Center is the region's first state-of-the-art center dedicated to addressing autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders. It will open in 2013.
