Awards and Honors Across Weill Cornell Medicine - August 23, 2018

Dr. Marisa Censani, assistant professor of pediatrics, has been elected Trustee on the Executive Board of the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA). She will join the association’s Board of Trustees for a two-year term following an induction ceremony in September at the annual Fall Obesity Medicine Association conference in Washington D.C.

Dr. Marc Goldstein, the Matthew P. Hardy, PhD Distinguished Professor of Reproductive Medicine and Urology, professor of reproductive medicine and of urology, won the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction’s (SSMR) 2018 Distinguished Reproductive Urology Award. The award, which Dr. Goldstein accepted during the American Urological Association’s annual meeting, hosted in May in San Francisco, recognized his significant contributions to the field and his service to the SSMR. The SSMR seeks to improve research into and clinical care for male infertility.

Dr. T Sloane Guy, associate professor of clinical cardiothoracic surgery, was selected for the second year to be a Co-Director for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Robotic Cardiac Surgery Symposium. This year’s symposium was focused on mitral valve repair and will also include robotic coronary artery bypass. The course will include high-quality faculty from across the country willing to share their knowledge and expertise. The symposium took place in Chicago on March 23-24.
