The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) honored Dr. Roger Härtl, co-director of Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian and director of Weill Cornell Medicine’s Center for Comprehensive Spine Care, with its prestigious Humanitarian of the Year award.

Vinay Chadha is the finance director of a fitness company, and exercise has always been important to him. But when the pandemic hit New York City this past March, the 37-year-old found his activities drastically curtailed—first when he fell ill with COVID-19, then by the statewide shelter-in- place order.

The Center for Comprehensive Spine Care takes a multidisciplinary approach to treat patients suffering from back, neck, hand and joint pain, arthritis, spinal stenosis, sciatica, rotator cuff injuries, disc injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome, among other conditions.
